Who is behind the service?

Freetesting.hiv provides free online HIV testing as part of the Department of Health and Social Care's National HIV Prevention Programme. It is powered by SH:24 CIC, a not-for-profit digital sexual health service, developed in partnership with the NHS, who also deliver expert sexual and reproductive health services via sh24.org.uk, sh24.ie and fettle.health.

The Department of Health and Social Care commissions SH:24 to deliver Freetesting.hiv for local authorities across England, should they choose to fund this service for their residents.

National promotion of the service is supported by HIV Prevention England (It Starts With Me/National HIV Testing Week) delivered by Terrence Higgins Trust.
